Daniela is a registered clinical psychologist who provides care for people of all ages, with a special focus on children, teenagers, and families. She has extensive experience delivering psychological interventions for preschoolers, school-aged children, and adolescents with a wide range of difficulties, including behavioral challenges, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and stress-related conditions. She is also experienced in working with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, and is skilled in safeguarding and early risk identification.

Daniela frequently conducts psycho-educational and developmental assessments to support children with special educational needs. She works closely with families, caregivers, and schools to ensure that interventions are practical, collaborative, and tailored to the child’s unique developmental and learning profile. Her goal is to empower children and young people to thrive while equipping parents and educators with strategies that promote resilience, emotional well-being, and positive family dynamics.

As a Eurasian who has lived and studied in multiple countries, Daniela is especially attuned to the challenges faced by families navigating cultural transitions and adapting to new environments. She also supports individuals through other life transitions, including bereavement, health challenges, and major changes in personal or professional life.

Daniela’s therapeutic approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive. She draws on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. She adapts her approach to meet the needs of each child, adolescent, or adult she works with, integrating parents and families into the therapeutic process wherever appropriate.

Psychological Assessment

Her professional experience spans community mental health facilities, outpatient and inpatient hospital units, NGOs, private child development clinics, and academic research. She is an accredited member of the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (HKICP) and a registered clinical psychologist with the Hong Kong Psychological Society.

Daniela originally obtained a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, before completing a master’s in Psychology at the University of Hong Kong. She later trained in Early Intervention for Psychosis at King’s College London, and subsequently completed her clinical psychology training at the University of Hong Kong.
